Epoxy Pressure Injection

Structural Integrity Group LLC uses internationally recognized materials, equipment and processes, coupled with certified technicians, to effectively repair and rehabilitate structural members by epoxy pressure injection into detrimental cracks. The injection procedure varies based on the type and location of the crack(s), with horizontal, vertical, and overhead cracks each requiring different approaches. The injection procedure implemented must also consider accessibility to the cracked surface and the size of the crack. Cracks can be injected from one or multiple sides of a structural member depending on field conditions. If access is limited to only one side, installation procedures may include variations in epoxy viscosities, injection equipment, injection pressure, and port spacing to ensure full penetration of epoxy into the crack. Depending on the specific requirements of the project, crack repair by epoxy injection can restore structural integrity and reduce moisture penetration through cracks 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) in width and greater. Before any epoxy injection is performed, the underlying cause of the damage must be assessed and remediated if possible, and the objective of the repair understood.
